Tenant-Based Rental Assistance

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Affordable housing can be hard to find these days, especially for those with low incomes. That`s why the Kansas Department of Commerce and Housing has awarded rental assistance to those in need. The Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program is helping fund 18 agencies located throughout Kansas. The organization provides utility and security deposits, and rental subsidies for income eligible individuals and families. Some of the local award recipients are the Independence Housing Authority, the Southeast Kansas Community Action Program and the city of Pittsburg.
