Carl Junction Energy Loan

Updated: January 7, 2009
An energy loan promises to help a Four State school. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded a $200,000 loan to the Carl Junction School District. The loan is low interest and will be used to finance energy efficiency improvements at the school. Which would in turn reduce the school`s annual utility bill by around $30,000. Additional changes include lighting upgrades, which officials say will pay for itself in seven years. The energy loan program saves Missouri school districts and local governments around $6 million dollars in energy costs a year.
