Holiday Turnpike Traffic

More people than ever traveled Oklahoma turnpikes of the holiday weekend. The Will Rogers Turnpike that begins just south of the Missouri state line saw 8% more drivers this year than last. State official point to lower gas prices, good weather and more people deciding to drive rather than fly for the increase. Overall turnpike rider-ship in the state rose 19% or about 225,000 drivers.
