Woman Faces Charges for Stealing Cop Car

A Four State woman faces felony charges after steeling a police car to escape arrest. The Joplin woman was taken into custody after a domestic dispute. But after her arrest, she managed to free herself of the handcuffs, climbed into the drivers seat of a Joplin police vehicle and drive away. She only made it about two blocks before crashing the car into a retaining wall and taking off on foot. Lt. Delmar Haase - Joplin Police Dept. "She hit a 2 1/2 foot retaining wall then exited the drivers door and fled south bound on foot." The Joplin officer responsible for the scene could face disciplinary action if investigators find department policy was not followed. LaTanya Pulley now faces five charges in Newton County including driving while intoxicated and a felony charge of first degree tampering for the theft of the vehicle. She was also driving with a suspended license.
