One of the last counties in the area without 911 service should be able to call an emergency operator in the near future. Residents in McDonald County, Missouri should have 911 service in about two months. Emergency board members say they hope to have the service in place by the first of February. County voters approved a half-cent sales tax in August 2000 to pay for the service. The new dispatch center will be located in a building just north of the county courthouse in Pineville.
