Survivors Remember Over Coffee

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
On the 60th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, area veterans gather to remember the war over coffee. The Braums in Carthage is the meeting ground for five veterans, four from World War II and one from Korea. The men have been meeting here for almost 10 years to discuss the war and current events all over a cup of joe. The men say they occasionally talk about the war, but digging up those old memories sometimes can be too painful. The veterans say that their morning coffee`s are a regular event and if one should ever miss the meeting, they are instantly called and checked on.
