Updated: January 7, 2009
One Four State agency packs up and moves into a new building. The Economic Security Corporation in Joplin is moving their offices from 305 Virginia to the old federal building at 302 Joplin Street. The old office, which they had stayed in for 15 years had become too cramped and exceeded their capacity. The new building will give them three times the size of their old offices. The non-for-profit agency acquired the building for a single dollar from the federal government. John Joines - Economic Security Corp. "The moving people came in early and got started and of course there`s a little bit of excitement to get out of that office and to get into this one. A lot of the employees decided they`d box some of their things up and move a little earlier." The agency expects to be moved into its new location by Wednesday.
