Globe's Sex Offenders List

An area newspaper is trying to make it easier for residents to spot sex offenders. A detailed sex offender list for Jasper, Newton and Vernon counties is now on the Joplin Globe`s online edition. Globe reporter Max McCoy says residents in many area counties must go to their local sheriff`s department to find out who is on the list in their community. This way they can get the information by going online. McCoy says the globe will see how popular the service is before determining if it will be permanent.
