Burned Van/Murder Case Update

Four State investigators draw closer to identifying a body discovered in a burned van four days ago. The Ottawa County Sheriff`s Department and Bureau of Indian Affairs have been working to positively identify the victim since the body was discovered Saturday afternoon by an off duty county deputy. After starting out what was called a spider web investigation to identify the victim found in Saturdays mysterious burned van near Peoria Oklahoma. The list of possible names has spanned several states, but is now narrowed to one. Ottawa County Undersheriff Fred Booth has received dental records from a prison in Missouri where the suspected victim was housed about ten years ago. Booth has taken those records to the medical examiner`s office in Tulsa where the man`s identity will either be confirmed or denied. We are awaiting the results of the dental records match and the official release of this victims name. Of course we`ll have those results for you as quickly as they become available.
