Future of Sunbeam Plant in Doubt

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The Sunbeam Corporation is going to transfer some production work from its plant in Neosho. The local facility is a major manufacturer of barbecue grills and household products. The Neosho plant provides jobs to almost 1,200 area residents. Sunbeam filed for bankruptcy protection in February. Company officials are still uncertain how the work transfer will affect the local workforce or how the Neosho facility will be affected by the bankruptcy restructuring.
