McDonald Co. Abandoned Baby Case

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Officers in McDonald County say a young woman who abandoned her newborn child will most likely not face charges in the incident. Ultimately, the county prosecutor will decide if the teenager who left her child on a strangers doorstep could end up in court. The teenager from Anderson Missouri remains in counseling and her child in protective custody. Officers say the ultimate goal is to reunite the two once the Department of Family Services feels the baby could be properly taken care of. The child discovered by homeowners on their door step the evening of December 11th was unharmed during the incident.
