Monett Couple Death Investigation

Sheriff`s deputies are investigating the death of a Lawrence County couple. The bodies of a rural Monett couple were discovered in the back of their camper. Investigators say the camper had been parked about two weeks at a Texas County truck stop near Cabool, Missouri. The highway patrol says Michael Ervin apparently shot himself in the head, but no cause of death has been determined for his wife, Phyllis Ervin.
