The Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids and the American Heart Association release findings about how Missouri is doing on the prevention of teen smokers. The report shows Missouri off to a good start, 15th in the nation, but public health officials are concerned. The state has only allocated 57% of the minimum amount recommended by the CDC. And they don`t want to see tobacco settlement money used to fill in gaps in other budgets. Their efforts are working. Teen smoking is decreasing in Missouri, according to the studies.
