Raid Turns Up More than Just Drugs

Police uncover more than they expect in a local drug raid, as machine guns are turning up in the area. A fully automatic weapon was found during a raid this week at the home of 47-year-old Alan Gilbert in Goodman. Gilbert is charged with attempting to distribute marijuana, and possession of an illegal firearm. Four other automatic weapons have also been found recently during raids in Newton County. Sheriff`s deputies are still trying to track down the source of the weapons.
