Chicken House Building Plans Stopped

Some Ottawa County residents breathe a sigh of relief today after plans to build a series of chicken houses are stopped. Prosper Farms intended to build up to 90 chicken houses near Narcissa Oklahoma, but landowners in the area were strongly opposed to the large number of chicken houses proposed. Although Prosper Farms executives have said they will not build one single house in Ottawa County. Some residents are concerned that if something isn`t done another company will move into the area with similar plans. County commissioners will discuss proposed planning and zoning at a meeting on Monday morning in Ottawa County.
