Charges Filed in Serious Accident

Charges are filed against a truck driver involved in an accident that seriously injured a Four State student. 44-year-old Richard Holzwarth has been charged with careless and imprudent driving in Newton County Circuit Court. 14-year-old Toni Flood of Fairland, Oklahoma was injured in the January 18th accident near Seneca. Flood suffered severed head injuries in the accident. Flood was a passenger in a van with other students on their way to a school outing in St. Louis. Investigators say Holzwarth was the driver of a semi unit that struck the van that had slowed to make a left turn.
