Updated: January 7, 2009
A southeast Kansas man faces gun and drug charges following a search of his home. Officials with the Crawford County Sheriff`s Department say 40-year old Thomas Harrell of Pittsburg was seen buying large amounts of pseudo-ephedrine in Girard. The over-the-counter medication is a key ingredient in the manufacturing of meth. Deputies searched Harrell`s Pittsburg home and say they found a pound of marijuana, several weapons, $2,000 in cash, and several items used to manufacture meth. Harrell is being held in the Crawford County Jail in lieu of a $90,000 bond.
