Suspect Taken into Custody Using New Equipment

State of the art equipment helps local officers catch a domestic violence suspect. Officials received a call from a woman at 2028 Joplin Monday morning, saying her husband was on the way to the house and was being threatening. When officers responded, they saw the man entering the home and were able to take the woman out the back door. They say the man was carrying a knife and was being irrational. So they fired a 12-gauge bean-bag round at the suspect. He was hit four times and officers were able to take him into custody. Officers say the bean-bag rounds have the same force as a 90 mile-per-hour baseball.
