The trial of a Granby man accused of sodomizing and raping an area teenage girl continues today. Glen Faulkner is accused of kidnapping and raping a teenage girl on October 31st of 2000. Today`s testimony was primarily focused on the DNA testing. A fairly new DNA testing process, called Short Tanden Repeating or STR for short was used for the first time in this trial. A DNA expert from the Missouri Southern State College testified that the DNA from the rape kit of the victim and the DNA taken from faulkner were matches of every point tested. The defense disputed the STR testing saying it is still a skeptical process because details of how the test works have not been published. Closing arguments are expected Friday.
