Preliminary Hearings for Accused Murders

Preliminary hearings for two Four State men accused of murder have begun. 20-year-old Thomas LeGrand and 21-year-old James VanHouten were arrested a week and a half ago and charged with the murder of 74 year old Margaret Barrett. Barrett`s body was discovered in her Columbus Kansas home by emergency crews on a routine check. Prior to his arraignment, VanHouten told members of the media he planned to plead guilty to the murder charges.
