Two Couples Charged in Robbery Cases

Two area couples charged with robbing local convenient stores are going to trial. The four are charged with robbing stores in Joplin and Avilla and are suspected of three other robberies. 21-year-old Eddie Salazar and 22-year-old Maria Salazar of Joplin along with 25-year-old Juan Salazar and 28-year-old Brandy Larrabee of Belton are facing charges in Jasper County Circuit Court. The robberies took place in late November through early January this year. The suspects say the weapons used in the holdups were b.b.guns. All four remain in custody in lieu of bond.
