Ramey-Price Cutter Buys 8 Albertson's

A local grocery chain will soon be under new ownership. The Ramey-Price Cutter grocery chain of Springfield announced today it plans to buy eight Albertson`s stores in Southern Missouri. The stores are located in Springfield, Joplin, Nixa and Waynesville. Company officials say the deal should be completed by April 22nd. Albertson`s currently employs about 725 people in its stores in the area. Many of those employees are likely to be hired by Ramey-Price Cutter.
