Date Rape Drug Program

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A Missouri college launches a program that allows students to find out if someone has spiked their drink with the date rape drug. The University of Missouri at Columbia is now making available the free test kits. The kits are available on campus at a 24-hour store, residence halls and some sorority houses. The kits contain a cup for urine samples, which the students turn in anonymously at the student health center. The samples are then tested by toxicologists at the university`s hospital where they test for drugs such as rohypnol or GHP. Officials at the university say the program is the first of its kind in the country.
