Funny Money Ring Exposed

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Four-State officials help break up one of the largest forgery rings in the state of Oklahoma. US Secret Service agents arrested three men they believe were involved in a counterfeit ring. That flooded the Oklahoma City area with fake $100-dollar bills. Authorities say the suspects would take a $5, change it into a $100-dollar bill and make purchases with it. Officials say the only way to detect one of their counterfeit bills is to hold the bill up to a light, and you would see a picture of Lincoln in the corner of the bill. Three people have been arrested. Two of the suspects are from Arizona and one is from the Chicago area.
