Children's Center Increasing Awareness

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
There have been many child abuse cases in the news lately, making many of us aware of how big the problem really is. Children`s Center Director Greg Dagnan says child abuse is a much bigger problem in the Four-States than most people realize. The purpose of the Children`s Center is to allow experts to interview children who officials believe are being abused. The center saw nearly 450 kids from southwest Missouri in 2001. Dagnan says by ignoring what we think might be child abuse, we are really contributing to the problem. Greg Dagnan - Children`s Center "If someone out there is thinking I really ought to call the police, but that`s none of my business, really we can`t have that attitude." Dagnan also says increased awareness is the key to stopping child abuse.
