New Joplin High School Principal

School board members didn`t have to look far when they chose the new high school principal. Dr. Kerry Sachetta was chosen by the Joplin R-8 Board of Education last night. Sachetta isn`t new to this line of work, he has served as the Galina Middle School principal for the past 4 years. Previously he was a teacher and principal for the Cornerstone Alternative School also in Galena. Several goals have already been set by Sechetta and he says he is excited about getting to work.

"Number one goal is making a connection with teachers and students and next few months I plan to do that getting to know what`s going on at the school, better understanding of how school operates."
Current principal Keith Willis suddenly resigned early last month. His resignation is effective at the end of the current school year.
