Two area men accused of committing crimes against children appear for the first time in court. 26-year-old Starsky Love and 46-year-old William Laturner were formally arraigned in Jasper County Court Thursday morning. Laturner is charged with first degree statutory sodomy. Investigators believe as many as three girls, all under the age of 12 at the time, were victimized by Laturner. They say the acts took place beginning in 1997 and ending last year. Starksy Love faces a first degree assault charge. Love is accused of striking the 11-month-old child of a girlfriend. Both men entered a plea of not guilty and are scheduled back in court on April 2nd.
