Highway 59 Travel Advisory

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
You need to be cautious while driving on Highway 59 near Noel. A 100-yard section of the road is crumbling and causing bumps and cracks in the northbound lane. This particular section is gradually sliding into the Elk River. According McDonald County officials, parts of the road moved three to four inches towards the Elk River overnight. The northbound lane is closed for now and will re-opened in a few weeks for repairs. The roadwork is depended on the weather and work can`t begin until the roads dry out from all the rain.
