Elks Mobile Unit Arrives in Jopin

A traveling dental unit arrives in the four states to help local residents. The Elks Mobile Unit arrived in Joplin Wednesday. The unit offers dental services to handicapped, developmentally disabled, and mentally challenged children and adults. The bus like vehicle can provide a full range of dental services. The services are provided at no cost to eligible patients. The unit has been operated since 1962. It will be available at the Joplin Regional Center until May 16th. Residents who live in Barry, Barton, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, and Vernon Counties are eligible for help.
