Concern Raised on Infant Deaths

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A Four-State official expresses concern over the high number of infant deaths in southwest Missouri. Greene County Medical Examiner James Spindler says he has performed twenty autopsies on babies from 31 counties and overseas. Two of those infants have been from the Joplin area. Spindler says even though the number of deaths seems high, officials aren`t worried about a trend. Authorities haven`t made final rulings in most cases, but only a few have been suspicious in nature.
