A Blue Springs, Missouri man is arraigned in Newton County Court after sending pornographic images to children over the internet. 33-year old Andrew Carter was arrested after he arranged a meeting with whom he thought was a teenage girl. Officials say a Diamond police officer was posing as a 13-year old girl in an internet chatroom where Carter sent pornographic information. Carter is charged with attempted statutory sodomy, promoting obscenity, providing pornographic material of minors and 3 counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for April 9th.
