A former Newton County jailer has been bound over for trial on charges of public servant acceding to corruption. 22-year old Josh Ulbrich of Neosho is accused of using his position at the Newton County Jail to trade favors with female inmates in exchange for sexual contact. In Monday`s preliminary hearing, Judge Gregory Stremel bound over Ulbrich on 4 counts of public servant acceding to corruption. Ulbrich had previously been charged on seven counts, but three counts were dismissed. Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Bill Dobbs says the state has a good chance of convicting Ulbrich on these charges. Ulbrich will be arraigned on April 8th.
