Crawford County Homicide

Southeast Kansas authorities are investigating an apparent homicide.
Officials recovered a body in an Arcadia, Kansas strip pit late Saturday.
The Crawford County Sheriff`s Department received a report of a possible body floating in that strip pit.
Upon deputy`s arrival, officials confirmed what appeared to be the body of a white female.
The body was removed and sent to Topeka for an autopsy.
Police are not commenting on the identity of the victim.
Police are also checking to see if the victim may be a fort scott woman who`s been missing since june 20th.
