Three people are lucky to be alive following an accident along Interstate 44 in Joplin Wednesday morning. Troopers with the Missouri Highway Patrol say a van pulling a U-Haul trailor veered off the westbound lane near the five mile marker. After drifting into a ravene, officials say the van, which had Arizona license tags, struck a tree head on. Troopers are still trying to figure out exactly why the van left the road. The names of the accident victims and their conditions are not known at this time. Reported By: Stuart Price
