Little Balkins Celebration

Four-State residents are celebrating their heritage this holiday weekend. The annual Little Balkins Celebration is being held this weekend in Pittsburg. Residents can take part in a variety of events taking place throughout the festival. On Saturday, events include golf, softball, basketball and tennis tournaments, train rides and a chili cook-off. On Sunday, events continue with gospel music, water wars for kids of all ages, teen Olympics and a fireworks display. And the festival wraps up on Monday with a fishing derby and a bike ride. Little Balkins Days is an annual festival held in Pittsburg each year throughout the Labor Day weekend.
