Arrests have been made in connection with the death of a four state woman over a year ago. Three men face first degree murder charges in the death of Kendace DeCarlo in July of 2001. Police have made two arrests and are currently searching for another man wanted in connection with DeCarlo`s murder. Brian McDaniel, 27, and Cordell Cain, 27, both from Tulsa, Oklahoma have been arrested and are in currently in police custody. McDaniel is currently serving time in federal prison for several previous drug charges. Cain was taken into custody yesterday and is currently being held in Tulsa on one million dollars bond. He is awaiting extradition to Newton County. Police are still searching for the third suspect in the case, 21-year-old Donald Overton. He is considered armed and dangerous and is wanted on first degree murder charges. Overton is 5`9" and weighs approximately 155 pounds. If you have any information on his where-abouts, you are asked to call the Joplin Police at 623-3131. Kendace DeCarlo, 23, was shot and killed last July near her home in Joplin. Police are saying the three suspects in the case were members of the Blood Gang, but will not say if the murder was gang related. McDaniel, Cain, and Overton all face first degree murder charges, but police aren`t releasing what role each person played in the murder. They will say there was a driver, shooter and lookout person. A motive for the murder is also not being released at this time, but police do have a motive in place. DeCarlo`s family says it`s been a long wait, but say the time was worth it to have someone behind bars. Kendace`s uncle, Gary Jackson said, "We`re just glad it`s finally come to this stage, it feels good, they did their job and keeping us informed about what was going on." Prosecuting Attorney Scott Watson says he will seek the death penatly for each man.
