New Company Comes to Four States

Joplin`s economic outlook is bright with the creation of a new local company. Mid-America precision products is a newly formed limited liability company. The newly formed company has aquired the assets of the precision products department of Eagle Picher Technologies. Company officials say all current Eagle Picher employees will not lose their jobs and hopes more jobs will be created in the near future. "I think it provides stability. There`s going to be more opportunities for us to work with Eagle Picher. Their business is growing as well in light of government and military arena as their business grows, our business will grow with them, said Doug Wright of Mid-America Precision Products." Mid-America Precision Products sells sheet metal products to the telecommunications industry and machine parts to aerospace industry as well as Eagle Picher Technologies. Reported By: Jennifer Haile
