Child Abuse Plea

A Four State man says he is not guilty of the child abuse of a toddler who died while under his care. Michael Dean, 36 of rural Pineville has been charged with felony child abuse in connection with the death of Liberty Duncan, 3. Wednesday, in a McDonald County courtroom, Dean pleaded not guilty to the charges. McDonald County officials say the girl died while in foster care at Dean`s home in rural McDonald County. Her caretakers told police the girl fell off of a trampoline, but officials say the injuries were more consistent with a severe beating. Dean remains in the McDonald county jail on $150,000 dollars bond. He will be back in court on August 14th. Reported By: Robin Rogers
