Accident Kills Joplin Man

Officials identify the man who lost his life in a tragic car accident Thursday evening. The accident happened on Highway FF about two miles east of Joplin. Witnesses say 21-year-old Jeremiah Shelton lost control of his 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse, causing it to overturn several times. The car narrowly missed several cars, customers, and gas pumps at a convenience store before landing on its roof. Rescuers had to use airbags to lift the car before they could remove Shelton`s body.
