Miami Homicide Update

New information in the search for a four state man wanted in for murder. The early morning homicide claimed the life of Servando Salinas. The incident happened in Miami, Oklahoma shortly before 3 o`clock Friday morning. Plice spent all day Friday searching for the man they say is responsible for the murder, 23 year old Leopoldo Hernandez. Late Friday, KSN learned that the red Dodge Ram pick-up truck that Hernandez was driving was found in the south east part of Oklahoma City. Police are still searching for the 23 year old suspect, Leopoldo Hernandez. Friday afternoon, police arrested an accomplice, 30 year old Rodrigo Luiton, who police say drove the car to the crime scene. He is now charged with first degree murder and shooting with intent to kill. Neighbors say Hernandez and Luiton arrived at a duplex friday morning in the 36 hundred block of Cayuga Street in Miami. Police reports say the man fired several shots outside the house, killing 23 year old Servando Salinas. According to reports, his brother, Rolando Salinas, was shot once in the head. He was taken by med flight to St. John`s Regional Medical Center in Joplin where he remains in critical condition. Miami police chief Gary Anderson says his department started their search after neighbors described this morning`s events. Police say shell casings were found at the scene from 40 caliber hand gun. Officials say the incident stemmed from an altercation late last night at a bar in Commerce, Oklahoma. The suspect is armed and dangerous and is said to be heading towards mexico.
