DIAMOND METH BUST

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Five Diamond residents are arrested on felony charges of manufacturing Meth. Those involved were: Joseph Michael Lewis, Donald Bradley Loomis, Franklin Benjamin Mclean, Courtney Leighanne Collins, and Melody Rose Snyder. All five have been arrested on the same charges in the past. Diamond Police received a tip from a local store that a group of customers were purchasing items such as lantern fuel and filters. Authorities say they then watched the store and a Diamond home at 305 Jefferson for over a month. When Diamond officers arrived at the house yesterday with a warrant, they found meth being made. Diamond Police Officer, James Harrison, warns, "One of the unusual things was there was a large amount of chemicals. This lab was probably going on for a year or so." All five suspects are being held in the Newton County Jail. Individual bail has been set at $50,000 each. Reported By: Sheradee Scott
