Updated: January 7, 2009
As teachers prepare for the start of the Fall semester, a local florist is expressing her appreciation. Thelma`s Flowers in Webb City delivered single wrapped red roses to teachers and their aides. Today the roses were delivered to teachers at the Webb City Junior High as teachers were preparing to go back to the classroom. The delivery was greeted with applause. Thelma Farmer, flower shop owner says, "This is the third year we`ve done this, we believe it`s the thing to do, the teachers have earned all the love and support they can get and we`re just givin` it to them." Just over 800 flowers will be delivered from the shop. Farmer says the flowers are imported from Columbia, South America. Reported By: Sheradee Scott
