The National Transportation Safety Board says pilot error is the cause for a fatal plane crash in Carterville, Missouri last year.
Six people were killed when the Cessna 3-37 plane they were riding in crashed into a home in Carterville, in July of 2001.
The NTSB says the pilot`s failure to maintain aircraft control, improper in-flight planning, and lack of experience in the airplane were the probable causes for the crash.
Crash witnesses say the plane made several passes over Carterville in route to the Joplin Regional Airport.
On the third pass, witnesses say the plane began to roll counterclockwise and dove towards the ground.
