An early morning accident claims the life of one four state man and injures another. Police say the accident happened just after midnight when a car traveling westbound on i-44, above Shoal Creek, drove into the median. Authorities say the car then struck the guard rail in-between the east and west bound lanes, diving 50-feet into the creek below. A dive team recovered the body of 21-year-old Billy Boyer of Miami, Oklahoma. Another man, 20-year-old Joshua Cornag, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital. "Traveling on interstate, if you do not have all your wits about you and you`re not taking precautions, driving on any interstate can be just as dangerous. You can run into pile and be killed just as easy as running down the median and going off between the bridges,"said Captain Charles Copple of the Joplin Fire Department. The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Reported By:Ryan Loyd
