"Harry Potter, The Chamber of Secrets" had a huge opening night in Joplin. All shows of Harry Potter sold out at Northstar 14, and with an opening day like that, theatres have high hopes for this blockbuster. Ticket taker, Troy Dove says, "We`ve been gettin` people 30-45 minutes early, even an hour before the show." And one difference at Northpark between this Harry Potter and the first, is that the protestors have stayed away this time. Dove added, "We haven`t had any today so far, and we`re hoping everyone realizes its a kids film and its not evil." Even the young viewers have something to say to the critics. Addi, a fourth grade Harry fan says, "They think children shouldn`t be listening to witches and wizards, but it also teaches good things like friendship, and how to handle things." Six year old, Sean Bilke warns, "It`s okay to watch but, not for babies." However, there is one thing, to beware of according to Bilke, "When he sticks his wond in the troll`s nose." And just how does "The Chamber of Secrets" rate? Joplin nine-year old, Quenton Quiroz gives it, "Thumbs up." Mike Glenn adds, "The special effects were great, a thriller and everything."
