Thousands of people join together to kick a deadly habit. Thursday marked the 26th annual great American smokeout. People across the country are being encouraged to quit smoking in order to live longer, healthier lives. The event is sponsored each year by the American Cancer Society. Representatives say cigarette smoking is responsible for more than 430,000 deaths each year.
