A four state community will vote next week on whether to improve their city.
Tuesday, Miami City Manager, Michael Spurgeon showed rotary members the city`s video plea to vote yes on several issues next Tuesday.
There are 5 propositions up for election on December 10th.
They include improvements to city streets and park and recreation improvements. Also included are public safety projects, city building projects, and improvement of traffic lights.
While the ultimate cost is 1.9 million dollars, city officials say the individual impact won`t be nearly as noticable.
Spurgeon said, "That property owner who has a house assessed at $40,000 is going to pay an average of $20-21 per year over the life of the note."
The proposed bond issue is for a term of 10 years. Voters will vote on each proposition separately next Tuesday.
