Controversy surrounds another area school today after officials there choose to hold classes.
While the temperatures dropped last night, the slush that remained from the snowstorm turned many four state roads into ice.
In response the majority of four state schools closed, but once again one area school was open.
School officials in Webb City made the decision to re-open the schools this morning. The move came with much controversy. Webb City parents in rural areas say they can`t understand why their children are going to school when law enforcement officials say roads are ice covered and slick.
"I drove a bus route myself so actually i have some first hand knowledge-had no problem what so ever," said Ron Lankford Webb City Superintendent.
Webb City officials say they tested the roads this morning, felt they`d be safe and then based their decision on the belief that the conditions would improve throughout the day.
