Jones Murder Sentence

A Neosho man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for the murder of his girlfriend. 32-year old Darrel Ray Jones was handed a life sentence without parole by a Lawrence County judge. Jones was convicted last month with the February 2001 shooting death of 41-year old Janice Brunson. Brunson`s body was found inside her pickup in a remote area of southern Newton County. Investigators say she had been shot in the chest and stomach prosecutors say Brunson was killed in a fit of jealous rage by Jones. Reported By:Jim Jackson
