Updated: January 7, 2009
The city of Miami is about to get a boost to its economy with hundreds of jobs coming to the area. Tracker Marine Group has announced plans to open a plant in Miami that will create 250 new jobs. The company is known world-wide for the production of fishing boats. The new plant will be located inside the old Brunswick corporation located in North Miami. City leaders say Miami isn`t the only city that will receive a boost from this announcement. "But it`s going to help the entire community. When you talk about 250 employees, everyone of em can`t come from within the city limits of Miami. What we do about fairlane, afton and quapaw,"said Miami Mayor Harell Post. The Mayor expects Tracker to move into the building by the first of the year. He says the first boat should be manufactured by March or early April. Reported By:Brad Douglas
